Chronic venous insufficiency is a progressive condition, and leg ulcers represent its most severe and painful stage. At the Leg Ulcer Center, Dr. Lindsay Gallo, MD, RPVI, focuses on helping patients halt this progression before it reaches this critical threshold. With over 5 years of specialized clinical experience, Dr. Gallo is dedicated to protecting patients across Pennsylvania from the debilitating complications of advanced, untreated vein disease by intervening at the very first signs of severe circulatory failure.

Areas of expertise

  • Advanced CVI & Ulcer Prevention: Comprehensive care for chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), severe varicose veins, and halting disease progression.
  • Targeted Ulcer & Reflux Therapy: In-office procedures like endovenous ablation and foam therapy to eliminate the root causes of leg ulcers.
  • Precision Venous Mapping: Advanced diagnostic ultrasonography to evaluate complex reflux and locate the exact source of poor circulation.
  • Wound Care & Recurrence Prevention: Active management of open leg ulcers combined with long-term vascular wellness strategies to ensure they never return.

Extensive experience

Preparing for a career tackling complex medical pathologies, she completed her undergraduate training in Bachelor of Science in Biology at Colby College. Dr. Gallo earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, focusing intensively on systemic anatomy and vascular pathology. To bridge medical theory with acute patient management, Dr. Gallo then completed a rigorous, high-volume residency in Vascular Surgery at University of Colorado Anschutz, sharpening her diagnostic and surgical acumen.

Training & recognition

At the Leg Ulcer Center, Dr. Gallo goes beyond surface-level treatments. She pinpoints the root cause of venous failure and uses advanced, minimally invasive options like medical-grade sclerotherapy and RFA to promote active wound healing and restore healthy blood flow. Because navigating chronic pain can be overwhelming for patients, Dr. Gallo deeply integrates her core philosophy of “I believe every patient deserves to be heard and enjoy getting to know them. During consultations, I like to learn what is most important to each individual patient, how treatment effects their lifestyle and what their goals are. I use simple language and visual aids to explain the different treatment options and customize a treatment plan with the patient in order to best meet their goals.” into every interaction, combining clinical precision with genuine empathy.
