Preparing for a career tackling complex medical pathologies, she completed her undergraduate training in Bachelor of Science at University of South Florida. Dr. Fernandez earned her medical degree from Kansas City University, focusing intensively on systemic anatomy and vascular pathology. To bridge medical theory with acute patient management, Dr. Fernandez then completed a rigorous, high-volume residency in Internal Medicine at OhioHealth Doctor’s Hospital, sharpening her diagnostic and surgical acumen.
At the Leg Ulcer Center, Dr. Fernandez goes beyond surface-level treatments. She pinpoints the root cause of venous failure and utilizes advanced, minimally invasive modalities like medical-grade sclerotherapy and RFA to promote active wound healing and restore proper blood flow. Most importantly, navigating chronic pain can be overwhelming for patients, which is why Dr. Fernandez combines clinical precision with deep empathy, guided by her personal philosophy: “My goal is to make every patient feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their care. I believe the best outcomes come from listening first, educating patients about their condition and treatment options, and making decisions together. Whether treating discomfort, swelling, or cosmetic concerns, I strive to provide compassionate, personalized care that helps patients improve both their health and quality of life.” into every interaction, combining clinical precision with deep empathy.
